He converted Studio A from an empty concrete room into a beautiful space worthy of bands and artists. He loved every genre from country to jazz, prog to pop, and always featured a wide range of artists on the show. Many have had their first radio airplay because of Carl.

WNIJ's Sessions from Studio A has a growing reputation as a showcase for energetic performances, and Funktional Family brought their A game. This band features members of Backwoods Bunny Fight, another band we featured.
We packed up our gear and hit the road this week to record a set from Andrew Jacob Holm, who grew up playing blues and country in the Rockford area. Sessions from Studio A is back on the road this week with a performance from Name the Moon live at Mary's Place in Rockford. The band recently released their latest full length album, Space Force, which won a RAMI award for Album of the Year.
