A School Social Worker Talks Helping Student Mental Health During COVID | Teachers' Lounge Podcast

Today on the show we have a school social worker -- Silvia Hudzik! She’s a social worker for middle school students at Rockford Public Schools, she’s had the chance to talk to dozens and dozens of students online and in-person throughout COVID.

75% of young adults and teenagers reported symptoms of anxiety or depression in the midst of the pandemic. That’s while they were also trying to take remote classes! Focusing on mental health has been crucial and our conversation with Silvia gives a good glimpse of what that looks like inside schools.
