Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation

DeKalb County residents took part in a listening session Monday in Shabbona to ask questions about the future of Illinois’ first federally recognized Tribal Nation.

The reservation represents just a small portion of the Prairie Band Potawatomi's claim to over 1200 acres, which mostly is located in what is now the Illinois Shabbona Lake State Park.
