Over 43,000 Palestinian civilians, the majority women and children, have been killed. Some estimates put the death toll in the hundreds of thousands, when including death due to starvation and lack of medical care.

Rockford residents mourned and shared their outrage about the U.S. involvement in the conflict as Israel’s main weapon supplier.

In addition to advocating for a ceasefire resolution at the city council , members of Rockford for Palestine organize rallies calling for an end to the war and U.S. military aid to Israel.

South Africa is calling on the court to require that Israel hold a ceasefire in its war on Gaza. He said the country understands that it’s not likely that Israel will change their actions on account of the court’s ruling.
