
Joseph Flynn
Executive Director for equity and inclusion in the Division of Academic Diversity, Equity and InclusionJoseph Flynn is the executive director for equity and inclusion in the Division of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and an associate professor of curriculum and instruction.
He teaches courses related to social justice, multicultural education and curriculum studies. His scholarship offers critical examinations of race, media and popular culture, and curriculum. Currently he is author of White Fatigue: Rethinking Resistance for Social Justice and a co-host for the podcast Mental Illness in Pop Culture.
In his free time, he enjoys watching and discussing film, listening to jazz and hip hop, cooking, and spending time with his family.
