Join Severson staff and volunteers for a Monday sunset paddle and experience nature from one of our canoes! Our paddles will take place on the beautiful Kishwaukee River, but location will be confirmed the Friday before the paddle based on weather and other factors. Before each paddle, we offer an introductory canoeing lesson, our “Quickstart Program,” for paddlers who have not done a Canoe Convoy before or those that would like a refresher on paddling and paddle safety.

Due to the high demand for this program, please only register for two evenings. Please RSVP below. If you are interested in attending more than two, please call us at 815-335-2915 to be put on the waitlist.

Due to safety considerations, this program is best for participants over 70 lbs.
Because our volunteers operate the car shuttle with their own vehicles, we are requiring proof of vaccination/boosting at event check-in (you can show a photo of your vaccine card on your phone). Masks will also be required during the short canoe shuttles.

We require a $10 deposit for all paddlers because of the high rate of no-shows the last couple of years. If you show up or cancel your reservation by the Friday before the paddle you will receive a full refund. Thank you for understanding.

Donations help keep this program afloat and allow us to offer our program for “free” to those who may not be able to afford a trip elsewhere. You can donate your deposit to help keep this program going.
