Former newspaper man, and current book author Bob Hill will be at the Ethnic Heritage Museum in Rockford this Friday, and at the DeKalb County History Center in Sycamore on Saturday. Hill will be discussing his book "Out Here: Essays and Encounters from the Heart, Soul and Left Field."
Hill spent forty-plus years writing over 4,000 columns, many of which for the Louisville Times and Courier Journal. But what many people may not know is that he started his career in DeKalb County and Rockford writing for local publications in the 1960s and 1970s.
Hill joined WNIJ Morning Edition host Jason Cregier to discuss his career, life in print and the little moments of life that make him feel like a lucky guy.
