It was another successful RAGBRAI for thousands of bicyclists – and at least one unicyclist – this year. That’s a big relief to the riders who devote a week to making their way across Iowa. The ride was canceled in 2020 – thanks, COVID – so the desire to pop the kickstand hit fever-levels this year.
What’s a RAGBRAI, you ask? Try The “Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.”
And who’s going to tackle it? Dan Libman, of course.

In this episode of Under Rocks, we check in with Dan and friends Skitch, Stu, and Max mid-ride to get a sense of how it feels to be back in the saddle and mingling with thousands after a year off.

We’ll also dip into WNIJ’s archive for two more of Dan Libman’s stories of RAGBRAI: His epic adventure during RAGBRAI 2017 and a smaller tale of maps, patches, and happiness (produced by Dan Klefstad and Carl Nelson, respectively).
Enjoy the ride!
