Traffic Alert: DeKalb Marchers On Sycamore Road, Aurora Exits Closed To I-88

Protests continue in northern Illinois after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

TUESDAY 4:49 p.m. DeKalb Police and Northern Illinois University issued an alert that protestors are marching in the roadway on Sycamore Road.

TUESDAY 3:44 p.m. The curfew has been extended for the City of Aurora and will begin at 8:30 p.m. tonight and end at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3. Residents are asked to remain at home and to only travel for employment during the curfew hours.

-          All Interstate 88 entrances for Aurora will be closed during the curfew. Residential or employment identification is necessary to obtain entry.

-          Entrance into the downtown area is prohibited during the curfew without residential or employment identification.

-          Strict travel restrictions are in place at Fox Valley Mall. Residents are asked to avoid the area.
