Officials in the Leland School District are looking into ways they could consolidate with their neighbors.
The Daily Chronicle reports it was prompted by positive results from a recent feasibility study. The board was initially reluctant to consider the move, but say they're "open-minded" about sharing services, course offerings, and sports.
The district of 267 students is reaching out to Indian Creek, Earlville, Somanauk, and Serena. Leland officials are scheduled to meet with their Indian Creek counterparts soon.
