The Coltonville Road Bridge is now open to traffic.
The Daily Chronicle reports it’s twice as large as the old bridge and crosses the river three feet higher.
The road was closed for ten months while the bridge was built. It was delayed by cold weather and an initial shortage of steel.
DeKalb County Engineer Nathan Schwartz says the final cost is likely to come to around $2.3 million.
