Food and Drug Administration officials say a company that provides vegetables for Walmart and Target generic brandsrecalled those products.

Frozen green peas and mixed vegetables are included in the voluntary recall from the National Frozen Foods Corporation. Those products were recalled because of a potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.

The bacteria can cause sometimes-fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

FDA officials say there are no reported illnesses from the recalled items to date. The products being recalled were distributed in stores between September 2015 and the beginning of this month.
