Procession Will Honor McHenry Army Pilot Killed In 'Copter Crash

Funeral services have been set for an Army pilot from Illinois who was killed earlier this month in a helicopter crash near a Kentucky military base.

The body of 32-year-old Chief Warrant Officer 2 Kevin Mose Weiss will be escorted in a procession through McHenry, Ill., on Wednesday afternoon; visitation and the funeral are scheduled for this weekend. The Northwest Herald reports the visitation will be held Friday at Justen Funeral Home and Crematory in McHenry, followed by the funeral Saturday morning at The Harvest Bible Church in Crystal Lake.

Weiss and a second pilot were killed Dec. 2 when the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter they were flying out of Fort Campbell, Ky., crashed during a training exercise.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
