In Chicago, prices are currently at $3.40 per gallon. That's about seven cents less than last week's average and 80 cents less than last year, but it's about 40 cents less than last month.
The average gas price for Illinoisis $2.95 per gallon. That's about four cents more than last week, but it's a dollar less than it was last year.
The national average price is $2.75 per gallon. That's a cent higher than last week, but it's almost a dollar less than last year.
