Report Says Illinois Added 8,600 Jobs In November, A Big Jump Over The Previous Two Months

ADP

A new report says Illinois added 8,600 private sector jobs in November. That’s a rebound after two months of much smaller increases.

The increase in the November ADP Regional Employment Report® comes after previous reports showing only 3,600 nonfarm private sector jobs were added in October and 2,100 in September.

Those came after several months of steadily growing increases, with numbers closer to those in the November report.

An increase of about 9,400 service jobs last month was partially offset by a drop of 800 in goods-producing ones, such as manufacturing, mining and construction.

Human resources management firm ADP, in collaboration with Moody’s Analytics, measures changes in regional and state nonfarm private employment each month on a seasonally adjusted basis.
