Ex-NIU Cop Wants Victim To Testify About 'Missing Evidence'
A former Northern Illinois University police officer accused of sexual assault will ask the victim to testify in the case.
Bruce Brandwein is the defense attorney for former NIU officer Andrew Rifkin.
The Daily Chronicle reports Brandwein announced plans to subpoena the victim during a court hearing on Thursday.
Brandwein says two text messages sent between Rifkin and the victim are missing from police records. One of the messages was sent on the night of the October 2011 incident, and the other message the next day.
Rifkin has pleaded not guilty.
