Closings:
Nearly all schools in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin are closed. Many local government offices are closed, as well.
Northern Illinois University is canceling classes and university offices are closed for Friday, Feb. 9. at all locations. The school is reopening for events starting at 4:00 Friday afternoon, including those scheduled to commemorate Feb. 14, 2008. Normal operations resume at midnight.
KishwaukeeCollegeis closed Thursday night and Friday.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District in Chicago is closed.
The following KishHealth Physicians Group offices are closed : Genoa, Rochelle, Sandwich Urology, Valley West MOB 28, Sycamore (Convenient Care remains open). The Cardiac Rehab and Sleep Labs at Kishwaukee Hospital and Valley West Hospital are also closed.
FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport and FHN's Freeport locations remain OPEN today.
Meals On Wheels delivery in the DeKalb/ Sycamore area is cancelled Friday
Lifescape Community Services-- Cancellation of lunches at senior dining sites and Meals on Wheels services for Winnebago, Ogle, Boone and Lee counties. The Lifescape Adult Day Center will be open, but transportation services will not be available.
The Chicago Premium Outlets mall in Aurora is closed today.
