The average Illinois price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $2.31. That's two cents more expensive than last week.
AAA reports that the City of Chicago has the most expensive gasoline, at $2.67 per gallon. By contrast, Champaign-Urbana's gasoline is the cheapest in the state, at $2.03 per gallon.
Rockford's average price is $2.23 per gallon.
