Chicago prices are at $2.93 per gallon. That’s one cent less than a week ago and almost a dollar less than a year ago.
The state average is $2.51 per gallon. That’s six cents more than last week but a dollar cheaper than it was a year ago.
The cheapest gas in the state, on average, is in Quincy, where it’s at $2.32 per gallon of regular unleaded.
The national average is $2.29, which didn’t change much from last week.
The state with the highest gas is Alaska at $3.04 per gallon. Mississippi has the lowest at $1.96 per gallon.
