Chicago prices are at $2.93 per gallon. That’s more than 10 cents less than a week ago and almost a dollar less than a year ago.
The state average is $2.45 per gallon. That’s a dollar cheaper than it was a year ago.
The cheapest gas in the state, on average, is in Bloomington-Normal, where it’s at $2.13 per gallon of regular unleaded.
The national average is $2.29. The state with the highest gas is Alaska at $3.13 per gallon. South Carolina has the lowest at $1.90 per gallon.
