The City of DeKalb has launched a new website to enhance online service to the community, according to a news release. The site, which went fully live at the end of last week, features increased interactivity.
The site was designed to have simple navigation and various tools that allow users to do business with the City from their home computers or mobile devices.
The release says one new site feature is an agenda center that consolidates agendas for all the City’s committees, commissions and boards as well as the City Council meetings.
Another item that users will see when they visit the new site for the first time is the mapping portal. Not only does the portal include downloadable maps with ward boundaries and the tax increment finance (TIF) districts, it also gives access to an interactive zoning map tool.
Other items found on the site are the Jobs Center, where all job openings with the City can be viewed, and an Open Records Portal that includes information about the City’s contracts, spending and contact information for the elected officials.
The new site is located at the same Web address as the old site: www.cityofdekalb.com.
City staff has full control over the site’s content, meaning updates can be made at any time.
