Orange Bowl 2013: FSU 31, NIU 10

It was a disappointing end to an incredible season for Northern Illinois University's football team. The Florida State Seminoles bottled up the Huskies offense to win the Discover Orange Bowl, 31 to 10.

This was the first BCS bowl for NIU, and the first time a Mid-American Conference team has played in such a nationally-prestigious game. FSU holds the longest current bowl streak in the nation, with the game against NIU being their  31st straight bowl berth.

Huskies fans are encouraged to welcome the team home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at NIU's Convocation Center.
