Born and raised in DeKalb, Jacob Marx is a 2013 graduate of DeKalb High School and a senior studying political science and journalism at Monmouth College.
Having a passion for politics early on, Marx has served as an intern for the Treasurer of Illinois, worked on political campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, and worked as a legislative intern for a Congresswoman on Capitol Hill.
He also is the Political Editor for the Monmouth Courier, the student-run newspaper at Monmouth College. Outside of politics, Marx runs cross country and track for his college, is an avid SCUBA diver, and is the Unit Leader of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary University Program Remote Collaborative Unit.
