Below zero temperatures with wind chills as low as -25 are expected Tuesday morning and again overnight into Wednesday. That has led to several school closings and delays Tuesday.

Public Schools:

Dakota: closed

Freeport schools: remote learning day

South Beloit: closed

Colleges and Universities:
Illinois Valley Community College has delayed its opening until 9 this morning.
