Senate Cloture Vote on Kavanaugh

The U.S. Senate is scheduled to hold a cloture vote today, to close debate on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court. This is *not* the confirmation vote itself, but will be a key indicator of whether Republicans have the necessary votes to approve Kavanaugh as the replacement for retired Justice Anthony Kennedy. Proceedings are expected to include floor speeches by several key Senators, and a window of time when Senators can cast their votes.
