  • Since he joined NPR in 2000, Knox has covered a broad range of issues and events in public health, medicine, and science. His reports can be heard on NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, Talk of the Nation, and newscasts.
  • Staci Hoste joined the stations in 2008 and is responsible for the stations' general operations and overall strategy. She’s been a lifelong listener to WNIJ and WNIU -- first as a “prisoner of public radio” in her parents' backseat, and now of her own enthusiastic accord. Her favorite shows include On the Media, This American Life, and Wait, Wait…Don't Tell Me. In addition to her role at the station, Staci serves on the board of directors for Riverfront Museum Park, Kish Health System Hospice, The University Station Alliance and the Illinois Public Broadcasting Council. When time allows she enjoys reading and working on an ongoing home restoration project.
  • Liz Halloran joined NPR in December 2008 as Washington correspondent for Digital News, taking her print journalism career into the online news world.
  • Janet Fischer is a Corporate Support representative (another way of saying "sales rep"). She develops partnerships with local businesses, connecting them to the public radio audience through short, tasteful announcements in an uncluttered environment. It's a win-win...listeners appreciate the companies who support their programming! After working many years in Chicago and New York City, where she was just one among millions, she enjoys the connections within a smaller community. She prefers to read non-fiction and loves to learn something new every day. At every opportunity, she travels to explore other cultures and ways of life.
  • Amy Walters is a producer for NPR based at NPR West in Los Angeles.
  • Donna Reid, Director of Finance & Administration for Northern Public Radio, is responsible for the day-to-day business and administrative management of the stations. There is no shortage of paperwork or people flowing in and out of her office: web donations…hiring forms… budgets…financial statements…grant applications…EFT transactions…invoices...contracts… pledge forms…job descriptions…purchase orders…work orders… It’s believed there's a nice a wood-top underneath it all, but few have ever seen it. As custodian of station dollars through 19 annual audits, it’s no surprise that Marketplace is one of Donna's favorite programs.
  • Geoff Nunberg is the linguist contributor on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.
