Former Dixon Mayor Li Arellano won the Republican primary for Illinois’ 37th Senate District. Republican Win Stoller chose not to run for re-election and there are no Democrats running for the seat.
Tim Yager and Chris Bishop challenged Arellano in the primary.
After re-districting, the 37th district now stretches north to include Dixon and Rochelle.
