Chicago prices are at $2.95 per gallon. That's only a few cents more than a week ago, but that’s still almost a dollar less than a year ago.
The state average is $2.58 per gallon. That’s almost a dime more than last week but about 75 cents cheaper than it was a year ago.
The cheapest gas in the state, on average, is in Danville, where it’s at $2.28 per gallon of regular unleaded.
The national average is $2.31, which is only two cents more expensive than last week.
The state with the highest gas is California at $2.91 per gallon. South Carolina has the lowest at $1.97 per gallon.
