Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner appointed three new members of the Illinois State Museum board last week.
The three new board members are Donna Sack of Naperville, Brian Anderson of Rochester and Roger Taylor of Galesburg, according to a news release.
Sack has almost 30 years of museum and association management experience and is executive director of the Association of Midwest Museums.
Anderson directs the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois. Previously, he supervised the state museum while working with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Taylor was a former trustee for the Historic Preservation Agency.
The museum closed last fall due to the state’s financial problems.
Earlier this month, the governor issued an amendatory veto to a state senate bill designed to keep the state museum open. The requested revisions in his veto include adding admission fees for museum patrons.
