On July 27th and 28th at 4pm, RU Performing Arts Students will be performing two stateside showings of the Theory of Relativity! These two showings will take place in Cheek Theatre, and are free to attend. Seating will be limited. Then, it’s off to perform the show in Scotland at the Festival Fringe!From Drama Desk Award nominees Neil Bartram and Brian Hill (The Story of My Life), The Theory of Relativity is a joyous and moving look about our surprisingly interconnected lives. Whether you're allergic to cats, in love for the first or tenth time, a child of divorce, a germaphobe or simply a unique individual, audience members and actors alike are sure to find themselves in this fresh new musical.Through a seemingly unrelated collection of songs, scenes and monologues, The Theory of Relativity introduces a compelling array of characters experiencing the joys and heartbreaks, the liaisons and losses, the inevitability and the wonder of human connection.

Step into the uproarious world of “The Show Must Go Wrong”, a riotous parody of award shows like the Grammys. Presented by Lightbeam Players, this production takes you behind the glitz and glam of the music industry’s biggest night: The Gold Note Awards!
Anticipation is high as the audience eagerly awaits the unveiling of the evening’s victors. Everyone is anticipating who the big winners of the night will be. But when things start to go wrong what began as a night of celebration quickly descends into a whirlwind of mishaps and mayhem, as a whole wave of chaos starts to unleash.
“The Show Must Go Wrong” promises an evening of laughter, surprise, and sheer entertainment as we celebrate the absurdity of award show culture. Don’t miss out on the mayhem - come to the library and prepare for an afternoon you won’t soon forget.
Lightbeam Players is a theatre company run by kids, for kids. Best of all, it’s entirely free and requires no registration. This program is intended for all ages.
