We at Books on First are so excited to have Cris Mazza, author of the book It's No Puzzle: a memoir in artifact. Along with Dan Libman, author of the book Book of Grudges here to discuss their new books.
It's No Puzzle explores heritage, legacy, and identity through her parents’ personal artifacts — letters, photos, newspaper clippings, school records, concert programs, etc — which tell stories that allow glimpses of Southern California culture in the 1940s, 50s and early 60s. At turns philosophical, funny, and profane, Libman's Book of Grudges recounts life on a family farm just after the death of the farmer: a year “not especially well lived.”
