Valentine Treats with Father Dominic
Valentine Treats with Father Dominic
On Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 p.m. central, the LaSalle Public Library will virtually host Father Dominic Garramone, when he presents a special program celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Prepare for Valentine’s Day with Father Dominic. In this virtual program, learn how to make flaky puff pastry from scratch in less time then it takes to go to the store, and see how to use it to make buttery, bite-sized treats like heart-shaped cronuts, savory cheese puffs and butterscotch napoleons. Father Dominic will answer any baking questions at the end of the presentation and will provide a link to all featured recipes.
Father Dominic Garramone, OSB is a monk of Saint Bede Abbey in Peru, Illinois. He was the host of the PBS cooking show, “Breaking Bread with Father Dominic,” from 1999 to 2001, and has written several cookbooks. Father Dom says he got his culinary education ''between my mother's kitchen, PBS and the public library.''
