The Wages of Sin Opening Reception
The Wages of Sin Opening Reception
The Wages of Sin is a multi-faceted, interactive exhibition which invites patrons to play, overindulge, and explore the transience of life, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death. In the main studio, we will host a “too much fun fair” themed around the seven deadly sins.
Visitors will have the opportunity to give in to temptation at “sin booths” such as a PG-13 peep show, game of blackjack, cake bar, and more before heading upstairs to the gallery.
On view in the gallery will be a group exhibition featuring works in multiple mediums. Regardless of personal belief system, artists are asked to imagine these sins/vices/overindulgences, contemplating the role they play in their own life and create the supposed result: death, decay, and hell.
