The Man in the Brown Suit

The Man in the Brown Suit

The world premiere of Agatha Christie’s The Man in the Brown Suit comes to AET in May.

Anne Beddingfeld has lived her whole life in a tiny English village. She longs for adventure like her favorite heroine in the cinema. But Anne gets more than she bargained for when she is swept up in a whirlwind of mystery, romance, and murder. Who is the man in the brown suit? Find out May 11-28 in the Cheek Theatre at Rockford University.

This delightful new adaptation is by local playwright Margaret Raether. Sarah Waddle plays Anne, with Stephen F. Vrtol, David A. Gingerich, Casiena Raether, Ian Garthwaite, and David G. Mortenson playing the many colorful characters that she meets on her journey. The play is directed by AET Producing Artistic Director Richard Raether.

The Man in the Brown Suit will be performed May 11-28 in the Cheek Theatre in the Clark Arts Center at Rockford University. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 4:00 and 7:30, and Sundays at 2:00.
