Songs of the Civil Rights Movement - Concert w/ Chris Vallillo
The Civil Rights Movement has been described as one of the greatest singing movements that our country has experienced. From "We Shall Overcome" to "This Little Light of Mine", music played a vital role as an inspirational rallying point and as a way to spread the message of equality and justice.
Join us for a concert at Harvard Diggins Library with award-winning musician Chris Vallillo, performing his show “Oh Freedom! Songs of the Civil Rights Movement” live and in-person.
This concert is free and open to the public, all ages welcome to attend, but registration is required. You can register online at www.harvard-diggins.org/events
This concert is sponsored by Illinois Humanities through the Road Scholars Speakers Bureau.
