Illinois Humanities Road Scholar Dennis Stroughmatt will entertain with the hot fiddle and the country and western swing music of Wade Ray.

Ray gained national prestige on programs like the WLS National Barn Dance and old time radio. Stroughmatt from Southeastern Illinois will share humorous stories of Ray and how music helped the country through trying times.

The free program sponsored by the Hinckley Historical Society and Hinckley Public Library seeks to bring musicians, storytellers, historians and living history actors to the community to share their expertise and enthusiasm.
