Heathers The Musical

Heathers The Musical
The Black Box Theatre at McHenry County College (MCC) is proud to announce its Fall 2022 production of Heathers the Musical by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, adapted from the 1988 film Heathers.
Heathers the Musical is the mordantly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: The Heathers. But before she can get comfortable, Veronica falls in love with the dangerous new kid, J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and apologize—but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.
Heathers the Musical opens Thursday, October 27 and runs October 29, November 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7 p.m. and October 30, November 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for students, MCC employees, seniors, veterans, and MCC alumni, and $20 for the general public. This will be the first performance in The Black Box Theatre since March of 2020.
Ticket reservations may be made by contacting (815) 455-8746 or jgeller@mchenry.edu. All tickets will be paid at the door by cash or credit card. There will also be after-the-show discussions about the subject matter of Heathers the Musical on November 4 and 11.
