AET presents 'The Outsider'
Don’t miss this uproarious political satire that pokes fun at our obsession with sound bites over substance and performance over intellect. "An insightful, witty satire about modern American politics. Funny, timely, and - dare we say - entirely possible” - Broadway World
Ned Newley never wanted to be governor. He freezes in front of a microphone. But his team is determined to shove him to the top in this timely, hilarious political spoof.
Featuring David A. Gingerich, Betsy Baker, John Chase, Kahla K. Conley, Russell Konstans, Erin Philpott and Jaylen Marks. The production is directed by AET Artistic Director Richard Raether.
The Outsider will be performed September 8-25 in the Cheek Theatre in the Clark Arts Center at Rockford University. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 4:00 and 7:30, and Sundays at 2:00.
