The Arthur D. Montzka Memorial Concert Features The 2015 Young Artist Competition Winner

Classical WNIU is pleased to invite you to the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra's annual Arthur D. Montzka Memorial Concert on Saturday, March 7,  at 7:30 p.m. in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the NIU Music Building in DeKalb.

The concert will include "Overture to 'Romeo and Juliet,'" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and "Symphony No. 2, Op. 132 " ("Mysterous Mountain"), by Alan Hovhaness. Cellist Nathan Mo, the winner of the Arthur D. Montzka Young Artists Concerto Competition, will perform "Cello Concerto No. 1 in Eb Major, Op. 107," by Dmitri Shostakovich.

A free, pre-concert lecture is open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall, also located in the NIU Music Building. Tickets for the concert are available at the door 30 minutes before the concert begins and are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $5 for children 11-years-old or younger.
