It was an afternoon of tornado and thunderstorm warnings across northern Illinois Wednesday. Several funnel clouds were reported, as well as quarter-sized hail, and winds up to 60 mph.

Straight-line winds in southern DeKalb  County  knocked down power lines in some areas. The National Weather Services reported funnel clouds were spotted in Rockford, Somonauk, and Paw Paw late Wednesday afternoon. Quarter to golf ball sized hail was reported on the east side of Oswego.

Boats were tossed onto other boats at Shabbona Lake State Park.
