More people in DeKalb County are taking advantage of early voting. According to DeKalb County Clerk John Acardo, thousands of people have already voted before the November 6th election. That's about a thousand more early votes than four years ago.
"Just the prevalence and convenience of early voting is one of the main reasons collectively we believe these people are coming out early. It's really vote anytime you wish, and now that it's becoming easier for us to have more and more locations, you can vote almost anywhere you wish as well." - John Acardo
There are four early voting locations this year compared to just one in 2008.
Even though more people are voting early, Acardo says there are fewer voters registered in the county than the previous presidential election.
