Science reporter Véronique LaCapra first caught the radio bug writing commentaries for NPR affiliate WAMU in Washington, D.C. After producing her first audio documentaries at the Duke Center for Documentary Studies in N.C., she was hooked! She has done ecological research in the Brazilian Pantanal; regulated pesticides for the Environmental Protection Agency in Arlington, Va.; been a freelance writer and volunteer in South Africa; and contributed radio features to the Voice of America in Washington, D.C. She earned a Ph.D. in ecosystem ecology from the University of California in Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in environmental policy and biology from Cornell. LaCapra grew up in Cambridge, Mass., and in her mother’s home town of Auxerre, France. LeCapra reported for St. Louis Public Radio from 2010 to 2016.

Elizabeth first came to WRKF as a host and board operator in 2002. Since then she has worked extensively in radio in Baton Rouge before heading south of the border to Mexico for two and a half years. She's thrilled to be home in Louisiana and back at WRKF. In her spare time she enjoys music, dancing, and talking to strangers.

LaToya Dennis
LaToya Dennis joined WUWM in October 2006 as a reporter / producer. LaToya began her career in public radio as a part-time reporter for WKAR AM/FM in East Lansing, Michigan. She worked as general assignment reporter for WKAR for one and a half years while working toward a master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University. While at WKAR, she covered General Motors plant closings, city and state government, and education among other critical subjects.

Alan Greenblatt
Alan Greenblatt has been covering politics and government in Washington and around the country for 20 years. He came to NPR as a digital reporter in 2010, writing about a wide range of topics, including elections, housing economics, natural disasters and same-sex marriage.

Annie Russell was VPR's Deputy News Director. She came to VPR from NPR's Weekends on All Things Considered and WNYC's On The Media. She is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School.

Kevin Kniestedt
Kevin Kniestedt became the host of Morning Edition on WFAE in September of 2013. Prior to that, he spent twelve years in public radio in Seattle/Tacoma and Spokane, Washington, where you could find him on the air just about any random hour of the day. Kevin has spent time hosting both news and music, has interviewed the likes of Dr. John, Chick Corea, and Branford Marsalis, and has authored the list 1,000 Jazz Albums You Should Hear Before You Die. Kevin is also a huge sports fan, loves a good film festival, and can often be found indulging on a massive plate of nachos.

Jay Field is a reporter for MPBN Radio based in the network’s Bangor bureau. In his reporting for the network’s flagship program, Maine Things Considered, Field enjoys exploring how real people’s lives are impacted by the unique policy challenges, economic, education, natural resource and otherwise, that come with daily life in a rural state.
