The Rock Valley College Faculty Association announced members will go on strike September 16th.
That's if a contract deal is not reached.
Members could have begun a strike Friday. According to a news release, the bargaining team did not want to interrupt the Rock Valley College 50th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for Saturday.
Both sides are set to meet on September 15th.
