Past as Prologue

Past as Prologue

St. Charles Singers begin their 40th anniversary celebration with an emphasis on the music of John Rutter. Themes of love and nature are woven throughout the choir's repertoire, which will include works by Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Alec Wilder and others.

One hour before each performance a pre-concert talk will focus on the history, culture, and attributes of flowers, tying their use in the concert song lyrics to their past and present use in gardens and landscapes. Leading the discussion will be SCS tenor Marcus Janson, product development manager for PanAmerican Seed.
