Mammals & More
Get ready for wild encounters at the library! Meet unique creatures from around the world during this 45-minute interactive show. This program offers a close-up look at fascinating animals while exploring their behavior, habitats, and conservation. Among the featured animals, there may be a python, kinkajou, armadillo, fruit bat, parrot, sloth...and more!
With expertise from Lincoln Park Zoo and global conservation projects, the presenters bring wildlife education to life. As Ms. Christine enlightens people about the animals and shares fascinating facts, Mr. Scott will walk through the audience with the animal described, bringing the animals right to you for a hands-on experience like no other. Everyone in the audience will have the opportunity to touch most of the animals. Designed for both children and adults, this program offers a unique opportunity to learn about animal behavior, conservation, and the wonders of the natural world.
Limited to 100 attendees per show, tickets will begin being handed out half an hour before each show, then collected at the door. Lap-sitting children do not need a ticket.
This free event is funded by the Friends of the Library. It is intended for families with school-age children.
This program will take place at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
