Join Boone County Conservation District to find out more about Eastern Bluebirds.

In March, Eastern Bluebirds race back to our area for the upcoming breeding season. Find out details about the life of an Eastern Bluebird and the challenges they face. Learn how you can create and maintain a bluebird house on your property or at a Boone County Conservation District site and help provide a home to support this beautiful migratory bird species. With the help of humans providing nest boxes, Eastern Bluebird numbers are on the rise. You can help support Eastern Bluebird conservation here in Northern Illinois! Spring ahead and be at the Roger D. Gustafson Nature Center at 2 pm on Sunday, March 10, for this program. We will start in the Nature Center for the class, and the second part will be walking outdoors to see bluebird nest boxes and possibly some Eastern Bluebirds.
