After-hours Concert: Music of Four Centuries

Classical guitarist Peter Fletcher offers his audience-friendly, solo repertoire “Music of Four Centuries”, which runs the gamut from the Renaissance Period through the 20th Century.

His program features:

Bach’s Third Lute Suite
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
Three Dances from Thesaurus Harmonicus by French lutenist Jean-Baptiste Besard
Andrew York’s Jubilation
Caprice No. 24 by Paganini
Four Preludes, by Mexican composer Manuel Ponce
Music by Scarlatti and Villa-lobos
Melancolia from Platero y Yo.
Simple Gifts, a Traditional Shaker Hymn arranged for guitar.
The Allemande from Bach’s Keyboard Partita No. 4.
Isaac Albeniz’s Córdoba (Cantos de España).

Peter Fletcher is an American classical guitarist based in Detroit and New York City. He performs over 50 concerts a year, and his recordings on the Centaur Records and Towerhill Recordings labels have been critically acclaimed.
