Event Description

For the last few weeks, WNIJ has been reporting on housing in DeKalb. Now, we’d like to pass over the mic to you. Whether you’re a renter, a homeowner, a landlord, a manager, or a curious member of the community, we want to hear from you. Tell us your own 5-minute story about the place you call home in this storytelling event, and share your thoughts about residential property and WNIJ’s latest housing series.

This event will be split into three parts: a time for attendees (YOU!) to tell their own story about the place they live, a time to share feedback about WNIJ’s recent coverage on housing, and a time to ask any questions attendees might have about housing rights.

Attendees who want to be storytellers will have the opportunity to sign up at the event. Everyone is welcome. Moderators will stress that speakers refrain from sharing identifiable addresses or precise location details during the public storytelling portion.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, event starts at 7:00 PM. WNIJ's studios are wheelchair accessible.

Por favor, comuniquese con WNIJ si sabe que necesitará traducción.

Everyone’s got a story about home to share - let’s talk about housing.
