Thanksgiving Dinner Will Cost More This Year

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

And for today's last word in business, let's talk turkey. The American Farm Bureau Federation has released its 26th annual price survey on the cost of the classic Thanksgiving dinner. That includes turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie. This year, we're told the average cost for a feast for 10 is $49.20. That's up almost six bucks, about 13 percent from last year. Good news is the calories are exactly the same. That's the business news on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
