Monday's winter weather is causing closings around the area.
ComEd is reporting scattered outages across northern Illinois, with a majority so far in the Chicago area or south of I-80. The company says nearly three thousand customers are still without power near Sublette, along with a thousand near Rockford.
The Rockford Park District says that, due to the weather conditions, many facilities are closing, and many programs, and events have been canceled for Monday, December 28. The latest list of closings is below:
Riverfront Museum Park, Rockford: closed
Burpee Museum, Rockford: closed
Rockford Art Museum, Rockford: closed
Webbs Norman Center, Rockford: closed
Indoor Sports Center, Loves Park, closed
Riverview Ice House, Rockford: closed
Carlson Ice Arena, Loves Park: closed
Washington Park Community Center, Rockford: closed

Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, Rockford: closed
YMCA of Rock River Valley Pennock Center and the Northeast Center: closing at 4 p.m. today.

Rockford officials also declared a snow emergency taking effect at 7 p.m. Monday.
As of 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015, vehicles need to be parked on the even side of the street.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, vehicles shall be parked on the odd side of the street.
All Rockford Health Physicians clinics will close at 1 p.m. today. The Perryville Convenient Care, located 3401 N. Perryville Road in Rockford, will remain open until 9 p.m.
Rochelle Community Hospital Fitness Center, Urgent Care Clinic, andMulti-Specialty Center: closed
All of Crusader Community Health facilities will be closing at 5:00pm due to the weather conditions. This includes cancellation of evening sessions at Crusader on West State, Crusader Loves Park, and Kids Care Now at the Crusader on Broadway clinic.
LaSalle Public Library: closed
Sycamore Public Library: closed
Ida Public Library: closed
